We’re excited to share that Certs, our reference web app, is now available for demo. Using our blockchain and SDK, we have built this open-source app to show developers and issuers how easily Dock’s technology can be leveraged to issue, manage, share, and verify credentials.
Currently using university degrees as an example, Certs showcases the following features:
- Creation of credential templates
- Issuing of credentials
- Verification of credentials
- Display of credentials on app UI
- Download of credentials as JSON files
We’re continuing to expand the feature set of the app, and expect to announce an updated version in a few weeks’ time. We will also make the GitHub repo for Certs public at that time, so that interested developers can leverage the code to build their own apps on Dock’s infrastructure.
As the app has been designed to work flexibly across industries and use cases, the above features can be adapted to numerous other industries including but not limited to healthcare, supply chain, and workforce management. In addition, our blockchain technology and W3C-compliant, interoperable SDK ensure that the credentials will continue to be verifiable even if the issuing institution ceases to exist, and allow these digital records to be compatible with other W3C-compliant systems.
